Bridget Smith Pieschel is professor of English and director of the Women’s Studies Program at Mississippi University for Women. Her career at MUW includes serving as director of the Honors Program; head of the Division of Humanities; and as chair of the Department of Languages, Literature, and Philosophy. She became director of the Center for Women’s Research and Public Policy (formerly the Southern Women's Institute) in 2005.
