Andy Taggart currently operates his own law firm, focusing on commercial litigation, business counseling, and consulting with emphasis on environmental, government, and healthcare issues. He has served as executive director of the Mississippi Republican Party, chief of staff for Governor Kirk Fordice, and president/CEO of the Mississippi Technology Alliance. His first book, Mississippi Politics: The Struggle for Power, 1976-2006, written with Jere Nash, won awards from the Mississippi Historical Society and the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters.
